We hope you enjoy your stay in Kanazawa’s historic temple district. The following guidelines are provided for your safety and comfort while staying at rokusyo.
cleaning and amenities
Our staff will refrain from entering the guesthouse during your stay. A vacuum cleaner and washer/dryer are provided for your use in the bathroom closet.
For guests staying three nights or more, additional amenities are available on request. Please contact our staff at info@goodneighbors.co or +81 90-1392-8309.
To keep waste to a minimum, paper products are replaced only after they have been fully used.
check-out
Check-out is at 10:00. Please turn off the lights and heating, and lock the door behind you.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer late check-out.
mindfulness
Rokusyo is located in a quiet historic temple area. Please be mindful of noise after 10:00 p.m.
Because of the large number of wooden buildings in the area, the use of fire is prohibited inside the guesthouse and in the garden.
The surrounding area is rich in nature, so insects may appear depending on the season.
In winter, please be careful of snow falling from the roof.

Please separate your rubbish into ① recyclable plastic bottles, glass and cans, ② other plastics, ③ other burnable trash.
If you would like to dispose of trash during your stay, please place trash bags in the wooden storage box outside, next to the entrance.

Kenroku Onsen (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, closed on Fridays) … 7-minute walk
no smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside the house, and in the areas around the facility including the garden. Please refrain from smoking on the premises and in the parking lot.
Bringing cigarette butts onto the premises is also strictly prohibited.
In the event of damage caused by smoking or nuisance to neighbors, we are required to charge a cleaning fee of 70,000 JPY.

Please take care not to damage or soil the facilities, furnishings, or gardens.
In the event of excessive damage to facilities or furnishings, we are required to charge a cleaning or replacement fee.

Press the button 冷房切換 for Cooling Mode
Make sure 冷房 shows up on the screen
Adjust 温度 to desired temperature
Press the off button 停止 twice to switch off fully

Press the button 暖房 for Heating Mode
Adjust 温度 to desired temperature
Press the off button 停止 twice to switch off fully
underfloor heating
Press the power button 電源
Living room floor will take 15-20 minutes to heat up
Press the power button to switch off 電源
automatic bath
Fit the bath plug in the drain. Press the inner section down firmly to ensure the drain is completely sealed. The auto-fill function will not work if water can still drain.
Press 運動入/切 so that the button light comes on.
Press 自動 to auto-fill the bath. The button light should come on.
It will take about 20-30 minutes for the bath to fill completely. Music will play when it is ready.
If the bath does not fill, it is because the drain plug is not tight enough. Press 自動 button again to turn it off, drain the water completely and start again.
bathroom air-conditioner
Press 暖房 button to heat, or 涼風 button to cool.
Press 停止 to stop and switch off the air conditioner when done.
kettle
Fill the kettle and place it on the stand
Press START/CANCEL to turn on the base
Adjust the temperature through the dial on the side
Press START/CANCEL to boil the water
microwave oven
Open the oven door to turn it on. Place item(s) inside and close door.
Turn the mode switch to “M”.
Turn the dial to set the power, then press “Start”
Turn the dial to set the timer, then press “Start”
Press “Cancel” to stop cooking at any time
convection oven
Open the oven door to turn it on. Place item(s) inside and close door.
Turn the mode switch to “OVEN”.
Turn the dial to オーブン on the display, then press “Start”
Turn the dial to select ヨネツシナイ, then press “Start”
Turn the dial to select temperature and duration, then press “Start”
Press “Cancel” to stop cooking at any time
induction hob
Place pot on the hot plate
Press and hold 電源 button for 2 seconds to turn on power
Adjust heat with +/- buttons
When done, press 加熱 or 電源 button to switch off
projector
Press 電源 button on the white remote to turn on projector
Press any button on black remote to turn on FireTV Stick
Turn on Marshall speaker and toggle “Source” to bluetooth. It will make a small sound when connected
Select Netflix followed by Rokusyo Kanazawa profile using the black remote
Press 電源 button on white remote twice to switch off projector
washer/dryer
Fill washer/dryer until about half full. Put a detergent pod in (if washing).
Press 電源入/切 button on top of washer to turn on.
Select a laundry course for wash 洗濯, dry 乾燥, or wash and dry 洗〜乾.
Press the start button スタールト to start washing or drying
Press スタート if you need to pause at any point.

Dial 119 for fire; 119 for ambulance; 110 for police
To report a fire directly, press the red button on the red phone in the entrance hallway. The facility address and name will be sent to the fire department.
